No hot air through heaters and faulty display on 2001 model

Hi guys, always loved Tuscans, finally got one last year but a few problems can anyone help?

Not getting any hot air through the heaters. Aircon working and getting cold air through. Have checked for airlock in pipes but thats fine, so after some advice if possible.

also got faulty display on dash. Wounder if I can remove display board and have it sent off for repair. If so any tips on how to get this done?

This could be caused by a broken heater stepper motor. I ordered a replacement from Racing Green (about £40ish) and using the instructions supplied in the link below (thanks Andy!) I now have the old stepper motor off.

Unfortunately, my new one did not arrive from RG with the six way connnector block attached so I am now connecting it up to the existing one and will put it all back together this coming W/E and keep everything crossed for some heat!

As far as I know a few places carry out repairs/ replacements for the LCD pod - run a search on it and you should get a result.

Thanks Paul that sounds right, I had managed to trace the problem to that black box but had no idea how to get that off or what I was looking for underneath. So will take the next step and have a go.

For the LCD display, I replaced mine a long while back (about 20K miles ago I think) with a replacement unit from either Racing Green or Power - I can't remember now. Anyway, getting the pod off can be a little tricky - take your time and make sure you keep a note of where any nuts/bolts come from. Do a search on here as I'm sure there has been some very detailed threads on the removal/replacement. Take care when removing the upper pod housing as there are ribbon cables connected to the POD with relatively poor connectors/pins that can get caught/bent/broke.

Once you've got the cover off and the display/PCB "stack" disconnected from the wires and bolts/brackets etc you can carefully lift it out and take off all the various boards that sit on top of the actual display PCB/screen.

A suitable replacement (Clever Trevor, RG, Power, TVR Parts, etc, etc) should sit in where the old one comes out. Shouldn't get any more lines once that's done, I haven't in over 20K miles since fitting mine.
