draining the oil
Discussion
What a nightnmare ! First thought it was cross threaded...just couldnt get it out while in-situ
Ended up removing the reservoir tank and had to drill the damn thing out ! Used a strong magnet to get all the swarf out of the tank. No idea why it was stuck. tried heating it cooling it, whacking it, swearing at it. In the end just drilled it, and after I'd used a 13mm drill the thing just unthreaded like nothing was wrong :-(

there seems to be a 3rd plug
In the 2nd pic if you zoom in to the
other side of the sump at around the
same front-back location as the normal
plug there's a 17mm bolt head
This is on the bottom of the hp oil pump
I think and its about the lowest point
Undoing it reveals a spring ? captive
in the plug and a special metal+rubber
washer thingy
Got a good gulp more oil out of there
Some its 'all' out now...phew what a pig of
a job
