Anybody know this car?

Did this belong to anybody here.?
Surely if all it needs is paint, it offers pretty good value..
Part of me is tempted..
Part of me thinks it could be a nightmare introduction to TVR ownership..
What do the experts think?

Dont know the car. But if intrested looks like a good price for year and milage, in a falling market, and as the car has not yet been painted you should be able to see how well the body has been repaired, better than errors being hidden by paint ! Check around the wireing loom accross the front, quick repair is to cut the loom and rejoin, see if deal would include MOT as lights are a pig to adjust and may fail at a latter stage due to miss alignment.
If purely cosmetic damage ( which it looks like ) once painted should make a good car, and no stone chips at the front end. Ok yes you still have to find a decent body shop to finish off the car, and find the extra money. But if you want an intersting car and buying to keep, and not to re-sell ( history will reduce re-sale value ) then have a punt.
Soon be spring and blue skies.

Ive just noticed the photos of the repairs are from Jan 07..
If it has been sitting in his bodyshop for 2 years without use it could be one to avoid..
Think i'll call them tomorrow and ask for more info..
I was originally thinking along your lines JJ, but if its been sat there for 2 yrs, Pikey is probably nearer the mark..
(maybe he forgot to set the date in his camera and they're from last week..)

i saw this car being fixed up when i collected mine, the guy was really really good, couldnt help me enought. the quality of work is really really good. he does not paint things just does the actual fibre glassing and filling. Nice guy, dont be put of by the yard when you turn up. just get chatting to him and hes a pretty straight up guy. i got a tuscan from him on the 31/12/08 with similar damage and he showed me yours as it was part way through being repaired. any other questions pm me......paul
Get them to MOT it - should not be a prob if its legit.
Get it inspected by reputable TVR person.
Allow a fair wedge as reserve and to paint it (get quote as the paint can be a fortune.
Get AA warranty.
Assuming there is some room for negotioation it looks like could be a real bargin.
You have to ask for the extra £500 why not paint it and get a better price but a decent inspection should reveal all.
