Have you looked through the register on here http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0... ?
Most of the ones ever made are there. But I think you'll find most owners will be keeping them biggrin

thanks for your reply , yeah been through the register already, incidently i think the moonraker black one listed as vinniep is the same car as bigcatfisches having spoken with bigcatfische recently. The hunt goes on!

Thanks for that...I saw it outside the 'old' TVR factory last week.... I think I know some of its history...but didn't know it was vinniep's...Did he smash the front end???... If its the one I've been told about, it was at a scrap yard for a while.

fairly light front nearside damage, enough to cat d it unfortunately, you can see pics of the damage and repair through bigcatfisches profile, he repaired it and is now selling it on pistonheads at 24995

Good choice, if you can't get Red Glow biggrin , Hexham Horseless have a very good reputation for selling TVRs. and convient for you ..there were 3 Formula Reds in the North East... I wonder if its one of those ???? If it hasn't got anthracites , I'm sure they can be changed.

It is formula red with anthracites. It's the former TVR press car (e.g. Top Gear with Jackie Steward) but fully resprayed and technically updated; it's like new. Would have bought it myself if the arancio car hadn't become available.
Hope for you it hasn't been sold yet, good luck!

If it is the former press car, I think it had a shunt whilst being driven by one of the younger Oxleys in Austria - it was at Racing Green last year being repaired.

True, but the factory has replaced (not repaired) the chassis and made the car as good as new. Hexam has all the details.

Bad luck!
Did you ask Tony whether he has anything else for you?

How about this one and get a good price for a full respray in the colour you want:

I think the asking price is a bit high. I have just bought a pristine 2006 4Ltr Tuscan convertible with only 3400 miles on it for £27000 from a dealer. Now if only the weather would improve I could enjoy driving it!

Yes, it is a bit high mileage.
Won't be easy to find a nice one in the right colour and spec, good luck!
