3.4 to a 3.73 diff swap, easy and experiences?

Anyone done this to their MK1 and was it a worth while mod for the acceleration increase?

Done it to my MK2... at the same time changed the diff flange and prop shaft... no more diff shunt now... it was driving me mad. I can't say it was sluggish before, an 'S' with a CR box, but it does seem to match better... everything just seems smoother. I'm not the fastest driver down a runway (in fact I was the slowest ) so unable to comment from a racing point of view.
