I just thought that as I have now De-Catted and fully sleeved my standard cans, just what is the loudest Tuscan out there? ears

I measured mine at 4000rpm and held the meter about 1 metre away from both cans and got a reading of 110dB.

Decatted with CCC's (standard bore exhaust) measured around 117dB at just under 4Krpm. I was thinking about going louder by removing the back boxes but wont reach track day limits then, even with standard cans back on then. With standard cans on now I get down to around 98dB

...on the subject of loudness, I currently haven't decatted but I am running Carbon Cans - just about the right amount of noise for me but am interested in the potential performance gains from decatting and also some flame action!!! (understand decatting could induce this?)

If I decat or sports cat and return to standard cans, do you reckon volume would be the same or quiter/louder/different?

Cats still in place and a pair of CCCs 115db measured at goodwood at 6000rpm.

Now running 98-99db @ 6000rpm with standard cans, quiet enough to get on tracks is my priority at the moment!

It still pops and bangs a bit when its hot, just nowhere near as loud!

I have just bought a pair of CCC's, was going to buy a pair of NTEL's de-ctas but have decided to wait and see how loud it is first.

Pretty sure my Traffic department may frown slightly if it was TOO loud!

thats good to know - do you always pass?

if you are over is there any way of reducing the noise easily?

Decatted, big bore exhaust, tewaked head, CCC's at the back.

Not actually measured it in full battle mode but with ACT track cans on it's 99db at 4000rpm.

Previously this was 94db with Cat's in place.

Overun pops are err, bit like gunfire apparently!

I dont think my cans are standard, was told they arn't by the last owner but unsure of make, its not quiet but not too loud either, toying with decatting it but unsure as too how much difference it will make. My mates decatted cerb is too loud for me, fun, but i like the neibours and cant be arsed with the Mrs moaning about something onto of the uncomfy seats, stupid windows, crap radio signal, attension grabbing etc etc

Dont worry about the missus or the neighbours, its your fun car, to hell with the moaning brigade. Do it boy or I will come round in the night and just steal your exhaust system from manifold back!

I know what your saying but i use it alot really, I have done 1600 miles in it since Nov and it would piss me off on long runs being much louder. I can also slip the cans off altogether for special trips rotate
