Tuscan Roof - Locking Handle no longer releasing properly

My drivers side locking handle no longer withdraws the pin that releases the roof section. I have had a fiddle about in the boot and I am fairly certain that the cable attaching to the release handle has begun to fray and has stretched.

Does anyone know how do you change it as it appears to be hidden away and who sells this unit. I havent found it as a spare part on any of the TVR parts suppliers lists. All this great weather and I cannot remove the roof.

Can anyone help me?

I have the same problem on the n/s (passenger side) this weekend I have tried to get to the pin mechanism to check it but have struggled terribly. First I tried to tighten the nut on the cable in the boot but this made no difference. So then tried to get to the mechanism itself as it retracts but not quite far enough.

Really struggled to get to it. Even tried taking the indicator out to see if this would help but it didn't. I can quite work out how to get to the bugger without causing damage to the internal panels

If anyone has got to the pin mechanism before please tell me how to!

Mine was the same (pin on drivers side would not release fully) but had my Tuscan in for service at Greenstar last week and asked Dave to adjust it. Now works perfectly

Think this is one of those jobs that you could waste hours fiddling with yourself or have a dealer fix in 10 minutes,

It turns out my cable has stretched so needs full replacement.

Ive let TVR Fix deal with it as its a pain in the arse job. Couple of hours work plus part, seems expensive but at least I know it will be done properly.

Ive no problem doing things like changing my shocks over or playing about with the windows but that cable looked a nightmare to sort!

I have the car booked in for a service next week and have decided to let the garage fix it. Its one of the jobs that if you dont know what you are doing you could end up making the problem even worse
