Racing Green end cans

Morning everyone.

Does anyone have any of the noisier versions of these and if so can they provide any (subjective) view as to "quality of noise" over the standard carbon-wrap end cans.

Seems there website is changing but give them a call. They do the straight through rear cans in plain stainless or coloured or also in carbon wrap.

They also did sell on ebay a bit cheaper.

are you talking about the stainless-steel oval end pipes? If so, mine is fitted with a set (the car was previously owned by Chas at Racing Green). I can't offer an opinion on comparison with the CCC's. They give a very nice deep throated burble - not at all raspy. Delicious on the over-run with some nice crackles! They also look the DB's.

My cans as finally attached today, went for the silver wrap in the end.

The offside was a complete b.tch to get off, but WD40 finally won out over GT85 as lubricator of choice !

Beasts look like cccs so answer to pops and bangs is very much yes and they do make a big difference. Optimium noise for me is cccs with standard cats. Cccs with decats is too loud. Cccs and sports cats is somewhere in between. Ie slightly too loud. That's what I have now.

around the 350-ish mark if I recall - I had to phone and they had different versions available. If I recall, and you want the original-look, I think the Racing Green site were a little bit cheaper

Thanks, Just spoke to Chas, he has these for £270 plus VAT. He also has intermediate systems from halfway down the car which interface with the tailpipes. These give perfect gasflow and overcome the turbulence created by the lateral exhaust boxes immediately prior to the Oval Tailtrims, £460 plus VAT.

Chas advised me to check my exhaust is in good strong rust free condition to ensure that it is strong enough for the oval pipes. I am very tempted so will check my exhaust when I collect the car next week. Can't wait!

Interesting. What are the symptoms of the turbulence caused by the lateral boxes? I ask because I have had CCCs fitted for some time and they have always made a sort of 'twittering' noise on low revs (over and above the normal stuff you would expect). I wonder if this is the cause?
