does the tuscan have a warning sound if you leave the headlights on?

if not has anyone fitted a buzzer on?

The Tuscan 2 has a warning from the dash pod, like a warning buzzer, with a diagnostic code, I think it's 14, if the side lights are left on.

no buzzer on the Mk1 so easy to find a flat battery nex morning, not sure about retro fitting one be a good idea tho

I fell foul of leaving the lights on whilst playing golf with a customer over here in Japan. Though I do know the method to get in the car with a flat battery the jump leads were at home. Cost me 200 quid in a taxi to get back to Tokyo !
I went out and bought a battery brain - basically it isolates the battery. As soon as it detects the ampage dropping it disconnects the battery. Or alternative , as I do , whenever I leave the car I isolate the battery via the romte control - you lose your radio presets but thats all

a friend with a MK1 Tuscan had a warning buzzer fitted to his Tuscan back in 2001 by a TVR main dealer, apparantly an easy job to do.

I have forced myself into the habit of checking the led lights in the door as I'm getting out - so far so good.

This is what I bought http://www.batterybrain.com/batterybrain.pl.
If you get the platinum, maybe also the gold, it comes with a remote. Not only does it do away with the worry of leaving the lights
on , it also does away with the worry of the battery running flat if you don't use the car for a while.
I use it all the time now - also acts as a further anti theft device as it completely deactivates the electrics.
Not the easiest of thing to fit in the battery well but it does go.

Copy and paste of a solution 'Kevin63' posted in answer to the same question a long while ago:

'Here we go, a simple solution which i have had for the last 7 years.
First buy a buzzer, i think mine is a pezzo but any cheap 12v buzzer will do, they are about £3, pull out your interior light and connect the negative (black wire) of the buzzer to the negative of the interior light, then connect the positive of the buzzer (red wire) to the positive of the side lights, i put the buzzer in with the interior light and ran a wire to the boot for the sideblight connection, and that's it, when you open your door you earth the buzzer and if there is power to the side lights your buzzer sounds, cheap and easy.
Of course i will not be held responsible for any damages incurred with the above installation.'

TVR Centre fitted a lights on buzzer for me. Buzzes if lights are on and ignition is off. They did not charge much for doing it,

Doing it myself cost me less than £2.50p about 7yrs ago and took about 30mins to do, I have never left lights on since.

Maplins sell the 12 volt buzzers you need and the black and red wire. Should cost less than a fiver.
