Hi guys.... It's that time of the year again and I have my renewal from MSM Insurance.

£345.62 for the year (which seems good to me) with protected no claims and no roadside assistance. I'm 40, live in Hertfordshire, have 3 points, I believe my full no claims on my main car was taken into consideration with the current insurance.

The car is a 2000 W Worth I guess about £14k?? Only mods are some end cans and Gaz Golds other than that it's standard.

I have it limied to 3k per year and garaged. It's a second car so I guess it's insured as a future classic (that's how Classic Line used to describe my Chim).

I've used Classic Line before and will give them a call. What I would like to do is compare other peoples premiums who are insuring and using their car on the same basis as me.

Seems about right to me. Mine was slightly less than that. Everything else similar, 3 years younger than you and no points with a guaranteed value of £18K. I insure mine through Hagerty. It was around £50 cheaper when I put my Mrs on the policy even though she has no intention of ever driving it!

Thanks for that I might give them a call. Wiull I get them if I google them?

Shame I don't have a missus to put on the insurance I've heard on many occasions it makes it cheaper.

Happy to be of assistance. I'll expect my commission cheque from Hagerty in due course smile

The cheapest quote I've had for mine is £770 a year. Thats for 12,000 miles, as main car, kept in Public Car Park in Central London.

You lucky sods! I'm on £840 (including a discount due to Ride Drive certification), and it's garaged with an 8000 mile/year mileage 'limit'. 33yo, 12 years no claims and no points!!

not got one yet, but i got quoted £820 without euro cover and no trackdays, and £980 for full euro and unlimited track days. im 30, 4 years no claims and 3 points. 12,000 inc commuting. Thought that was pretty good really, gonna try and stick my aunt on as a named driver and see if that reduces it.

You might want to check your bank account if you're a premier/gold or similar account holder. Among other benefits like travel insurance I get full European 5 Star breakdown cover FOC through my bank account... I've used it twice since getting the Tuscan!

Looks like I need to shop elsewhere. I recently paid 825 for just 3,000/ year max mileage, garaged and a couple of named drivers and I'm the wrong side of 35. It's a 2004 and no mods frown

I have mine as a second car and prob why I got quoted just £291.

Hagerty are a good bet if you're in the same situation, cheapest so far.

£380 After doing a search on Confused.com.

The "AA"...... 2002 Tuscan 4.0 (No Mods) valued at £17k. Over 40, No Points, Portsmouth, Fully Comp, 5k per year, garaged, 2nd Car, Protected NCD, Windscreen Cover, £500 Access. Thought it was reasonable, and cheaper than my old BMW E39 M5 of same value.
