Just bought my first Tuscan at 23 
Had alot of fast cars for a young person, E46 M3, 450bhp Supra, Impreza's etc! This is the first car ive bought without actually doing my home work on them, but im looking forward to the so called problems and general TVR ownership 
Are there any good owner forums out there with lots of info on them? Or general websites?
Whats a good mod for the Tuscan? (2000) Ive read about CCC's?? How much? Where?

CCC is the Carbon Can Company originally they made motorbike end cans, the ones for the Tuscan have no perforated silencing material in the end can so are quiet a bit louder in a nice way.
Other modifications for a 2000 model would be suspension as if this is original will be getting tired by now, popular makes to fit are Nitrons, Gas Golds etc. Geometry will also be worth checking.

They're the original/standard cans not CCC's (albeit made by CCC IIRC) aren't they?

Suspension upgrade is a MUST if its not uprated already, best check.
My advice is whip it down to your local reputable TVR garage for a checkover.

23!!!! i thought i was the youngest at 26...sweet motors tho...dead easy to work on compared to the modern stuff that comes out of factories nowadays, post sum pics when you get chance..

What would be a good price to pay for the CCC's and do they really make alot of difference? A friend had a Cerb and although i know they are V8's his sounded awesome on the over run and the pops and bangs were something else, i want something simular from the Tuscan

IMHO there is not a huge difference between sleeving your standard cans and getting CCCs, marginal maybe but sleeving is a good alternative to buying CCCs (although I admit to swapping my sleeved cans over for CCCs but got a bit of a bargain on the CCCs to be honest from fleabay)What would be a good price to pay for the CCC's and do they really make alot of difference? I sleeved my cans a couple of weeks ago based on this guide.

I was worried it may be too loud for my liking, but it's just about right. Seems to increase the good aspects of the sound without making it drone or anything on a motorway. Biggest differences are the cracks and pops when coming off the throttle.
If anyone's interested, this is the tubing I used - about £24 delivered next day.

Thanks again for the sleeve idea, done it at the weekend and i've been smiling ever since! Not as cheap as i first thought, £11 for the tubing, and £30 in fuel playing around with the pops! haha.
As you said mate the Tuscan and the M3 are completely different cars. I cant say a bad word about the M3, they are extremly comfy with all the eletric gadgets you could want. You get the sports car look but without attracting alot of attention which i think has it plus points at times, ie leaving it somewhere safe knowing nobody is going to put a 'jealous key down the side' of it. They sound nice above 4,000, can return up to 31mpg i think i had on the trip. Seat 4 large blokes with ease ... So all in all they are a very good balanced car. I'd have one again without thinking twice, maybe after the summer has been and gone i'll get one. Anything else you want to know mate just send me a email
