If The Mk 1 Tuscan was back in production, what changes/improvements would you like to see?

The ones I can think of at the moment.

Insulation tape on the door striker so no longer metal on metal... cost nil
Soundproofing inside doors (inner&outer panels)
New floor mats without TVRs tatty backing, soundproofing on floor
Seatbelt strap pads on Roll Hoops to stop them marking the rear flexible screen when down
Colour coded Personal steering wheel
Thicker cushions to stop the seat belts strangling me
Shinney Nuts
Leven Wiper arms and blades
3:73 Diff with different flange and shorter propshaft to stop the shunt
Hinged Bonnet with gas struts
Fit Emergency door release
Changed front tyres to 225's rather than 255s
Changed Badges (Front & Rear) to Leven High Spec resin ones
Paintshield to front end
Always have idle revs set high (900-950 rpm) which stops cold engine from dying and Aircon from clicking on/off
Totally resurfaced main bonnet with S&D "The Works" treatment to remove fibreglass pull/sanding lines when new
Replaced my TVR bodged(MK1/Griff) HID main/side light units with proper ones, so I don't illuminate the front wing voids now with sidelights (since for two years they've sat inside my front wings!!)

Work in progress
Painting Engine Bay
Fitting ACT Carbon Airbox
Changing ALL engine bolts to stainless

Indeed, that's a lot!
Are you still on the original dampers? I've found that it's not very stable at high speed, did changing to 225's change anything?
What's this hinged bonnet?

Ben Lang( the guy who designed and developed the MK2 suspension) told me to change and that it was designed for 225s, just PW liked big wide wheels....I think it tramlines less. I don't drive as hard" as some, so find it difficult to comment knowledgeably on suspension changes..'S's have got stiffer springs than not and I think the ride height should have been set differently....Yes if you hit a pothole , going fast , braking , into a corner, it can scare the pants off you.. but so does my Chim and BMW... just I'm probably going faster in the first place. I have no probs with the Bilsteins, in fact I have them on my Chim and far better than the dampers that were on a '99 model.

Bonnet is in this tread http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?t=6...

thanks Glow Worm. Bonnet looks great!
I'm going for Nitrons/Ohlins to solve the high speeds stability, maybe change the front to 225/235, but the Sag has 255 front too and it is stable.

Intrigued to know if this was genuinely 'Hypothetical Question' or whether you have something planned?

That sounds pretty much perfect!

On top of that my wish list would be:

Better interior (leather/mats)
Better sound system (like a radio that works etc)
Better screen (higher resolution?)
Another dial of rev's - digital is useless as cannot read it when its changing.
Better system of letting you know when you've left the indicator on!
Buzzer for when you have left lights on!
Custom luggage to get most out of weird shaped boot/rear shelf
Better lights
Better system for storing back window and roof - ie be able to get to boot when roof is off - maybe slot window into something below roof then entire thing could hinge open (would prob involve re-design of boot!)
No squeeks or rattles.

After further consideration...

1. Magnesium wheels with inboard shocks and brakes to reduce unsprung weight.
2. Four wheel drive.
3. "Flappy Paddle" gear change (to stop my hands blistering on the heat soaked original).
4. Full data logging.
5. Heads Up Display.
6. Puncture proof "Run Flat" tyres.
