I did it last year and bought 6m which was enough for me to do a couple of bits again when I cocked them up !
Lessons learnt:
1. use the requisite amount of dampness under the stripes to get them into place before squeezing them dry.
2. use some low tac masking tape to get the centre (or other spaces) equal all the way from front to back, tehn remove the tape when you have finished.
3. put the masking tape down the whole length of the car before you start, to make sure you are getting every panel in the same place !

Good question Mossy and thanks for the info in the reply Ian. I'm doing the same to mine for LM this year. Going for orange middle and white on the edges to complement my imperial blue bodywork. Have ordered 5M, measured just less than 4 if I'm correct so 1M to sort out any problems!
