4 beeps from the alarm and it wont open the doors

The Mrs is trying to get in my car (2000 tuscan) to move it, she is using the spare key, which has never been used before (in my wnership)and im at work with the main key 40 miles away.

Anyway, she is pressing the button and each time she does it just beeps 4 times and wont do anything, any ideas?

fours beeps happens when you lock it. Maybe she is unlocking it, thinking nothing happening and pressing it again and locking it??

Get her to look for just a single flash of the indicators. Thats unlocked.

Or call tvruk.tv alarms place poss for some advice.

It normally does 3 beeps when locking, but i dont get the indicators flashing at all, for either locking or unlocking?

She was on the phone to me, got her to press the mirror button, door didnt open, pressed the alarm button (beeped 4 times) and door still would not open, got her to press the key button again (4 beeps) and door still would not open.

Mine only beeps (4 times) if a door or the boot is open when you try and lock it. I tried locking with one set of keys and unlocking with the other for you and it works fine on my car. It sounds like its gone a bit mad! If its broke karl Baker at car and bike is the man to speak to regarding TVR(Meta) car alarms he can fix most problems.

Cheers Andrew, i will have a look when i get home and see whats going on. Like i said, i have never used this key before so hopefully it will be fine with the main one.

Mine beeps 4 times when I hold the button down on the keyring. It's locked at that point, but with the microwave sensor disabled (2003 Tuscan)

Mine beeps if the window is open however dosnt beep when they are closed (2000 mk1)

Good to see no one really understand their alarm!

Mine beeps if I lock it within about 10 seconds of unlocking it....could never figure it out but someone wrote the reason one here and suddenly it made sense

When i finally got home last night i tried the main key and it was fine, then tried the spare and again fine. Bloody car.

The spare key actually came from the previous, previous owner so its not been used for at least 3 years.

Because the interior light is on a delay.
