Changing front indicator bulb - MK2

After the rain last week my right indicator is flashing very quickly. Noticed that the front bulb has gone.
The manual claims I can get to it via the service bonnet but can't see how - looks like it's a main bonnet removal.
If the rain did affect it I guess I'll need to look at where it's getting in and try and seal it in some way.

Ok, tried to replace the front drivers side indicator bulb tonight, failed miserably. Couldn't see that it was accesible via service bonnet so me and the misses too the main bonnet off. I can see the indicator connection but there doesn't appear to be any hope in hell of moving it, turning it, etc as there is so much pipework in the way.
Do I really need to dismantle my car to change the bulb or is there an easier way without taking it to the dealer!
Car is a MK2 Tuscan S.

I think I can get at mine through the hole above the splitter in the front grill... at least I can feel the back of the indicator housing which is glued into the front grill. Not a clue how a non-S would do it...'cos they don't have the hole in the front grill...Mines up on a ramp so it's a lot easier...you would have to lie on the ground to do it without a ramp.

Yip found that access hole but still couldn't manage it and I don't have the biggest of hands either!Can't believe I'm going to have to get it looked at via X-Works or Topcats.
I've just popped into X-Works (with my BMW tyre and a screw through it!!)... Asked Heath about the indicators...he said you had texted last night... Anyway a Tuscan Mk2 was there without Main and Service bonnets and I see how difficult it is to take out the bulb....not easy with both bonnets off.. and impossible without.. You have to get at the wiring harness clip from above, pop it up and extract the bulb...It looks a real pig of a job, and you need very small fingers or a prodder of some sort....Good luck.

Cheers, just back from having another go and finally got the bulb assembly out. Turned out to be both cables going to the bulb had shorted. Need the main bonnet off and someone holding the service bonnet as far as it can go. Looked like the cable was touching the radiator or had just got caught. Put some tape around the minor damage and replaced the bulb whilst I was at it. Bulb holder didn't feel that secure either so I readjusted the metal clip and the bulb is a lot more solid now.Main bonnet back on. One final, final test, and noticed that the new bulb is less orange than the nearside one!!!! Arrrgggghh......................
If anybody else happens to have to do this note that the Halfords bulbs are not so orange. Need to find a pair of 2 more orangey bulbs to keep in my spares.
Going to speak to Clevor Trevor about a spare bulb kit.

Glad you got it done in the end...be carefull opening your service bonnet too far, mine catches the front grill if you open it too far.

Really tempted by the flipping bonnet. Will call and get a quote for it.
