mk1 tuscan upgrades

is there a list of all the worthwhile upgrades to the mk1 tuscan anywhere?

maybe we could start one?

im looking to get started on my 51 plate tuscan soon, so far i have the following in mind:

Upgrade fuel tank to pump pipe

Battery mod

fit new anderson plug with the rubber grommet kit.

Fit HID Xenons. Done
Hinge the main bonnet. Next
Fit Nitrons.

Only other mod I'm thinking of is shocks but that won't be until next year. Oh and possibly the rear screen clips

First upgrade I did was shocks, did that in first 2 months.

Then went to CCCs

Now the cosmetic stuff by changing to a MK2 grille and uprading the sound system.

After that I am seriously considering a race approved cam cover.

Another vote for these. I had Matt at Sebring fit some the other week at service time and it has made a world of difference. - No longer do I turn off the A roads and wonder where the road has gone ....

Second best mod made (after getting new shocks)

Couldn't agree more. It has made such a difference to driving at night. The old candles were positively dangerous. I did change mine myself though and what a PITA it was too.

only things i can add to the list already put together is the

improved door and roof seals
larger rear screen
screen clips (already mentioned i think)

but these are minor things....they are fantastic cars!

It's never ending but hey it's worth it, what a machine! I'm interested in the Carl Baker 6 speaker sound upgrade, could you tell me a little more about it, not that I really want to spend more but no point doing things in half measures?
Do you also have a link to where you got the new rubber seal around the rear screen?

I had already bought an Alpine ipod head unit which Carl Baker fitted (although this was not his personal choice or recommendation!). He then installed 6 x MB quart speakers. 2 replace the existing speakers in the side panels behind the seats, 2 larger ones are put in at the back of the parcel shelf and two small ones are put in the doors. There are examples of his work on his own website but I can't for the life of me think what its called at the moment. I'm sure a search on PH will reveal the link!. He really knows what he is doing and the results are excellent.

He did the work whilst the car was at Racing Green having a few other bits and bobs done. It was Racing Green who supplied and fitted the new rear screen rubber seal so I suggest you ring them if you need one.

PM me if you would like some pictures of the speakers, I think I have some knocking about on my PC at home.

If its anything like the install he did in my Tamora it will be the dogs danglies. I was amazed at the volume and sound quality from a non amped small speaker system with no sub! However, be prepared to sell a kidney to fund it as its not cheap but you get what you pay for at the end of the day.
