Warning - Engine Bay Fire Protection Following Rebuild
Discussion
Water hose burst in my Tuscan the other day, RAC came out and repaired the hose, whilst the bonnet was off the RAC issued one of their caution notices regarding the fire protection in the engine bay.
Amongst other damaged fire protection the cable coming from the battery which runs past the manifolds has been perforated in many places.
Now, I had this car from new and I know every nut and bolt on it and I also take the bonnet off and clean the engine bay every now and again (sado) so I 100% know that the damaged fire protection has been done very recently. I haven't taken the bonnet off since the engine rebuild just before christmas, so the finger is pointing at the garage who did the works.
This is just another issue with the car after the engine rebuild, wish I had taken it to STR8 SIX.
