How more reliable is the TVR Tuscan 2 versus earlier cars

I'm looking at Tuscan 2's, and an 'S' if possible, and wanted to ask a fairly obvious question about the engine improvements in comparison with the earlier tuscans?

I've owned a 350i and a Griff so I dont expect it to be perfectly reliable like a Ford .. but with so many of the earlier model tuscans having to have engine rebuilds it makes we wonder if these issues were fixed in the later ones, when from and whats changed?

Hi I bought a Tuscan 2 S 06 last September and it hasn't given me one bit of trouble mind you I have only done 1300 miles since then its had two 12000 mile services the seller paid for one and I sent the car to TVR power a few hundred miles later.
so apart from that cost it is an absolute joy to own it gets a clean bill of health from TVR POWER its in a carpeted garage inside its cacoon alongside its cacooned 500 griffith that is laid up ,and in the eight years I have owned that car it has proved totally reliable. In that eight years I havde spent about 15000 pounds on it keeping it as close to original as possible.
I suppose the point of all this is look after them and they will be fine .
I am seriously thinking of the 4.7 lt manning upgrade to the Tuscan don't ask me why because the car frightens me as it is , I just think that is the type of power it should always have had.
