Following a recent service I have been advised that the standard suspension I have, could do with being renewed. I have been thinking about it in anycase as there are some unsavoury noises from it.
I have been advised that Nitrons are the best upgrade and so I thought if I have to spend the money, go for the best. But which ones?
I have been quoted £1600 for supply, fit and geo-setup. Does this sound right?

I had mine replaced with Nitrons and it transformed the car. No more tramlining and very secure at speed. There were cheaper alternatives Gaz Golds / Racing reds, but I read mixed reviews on those so just went for the one most people trusted! I think I paid £1300 for the Nitrons including fitting but can't remember how much the Geometry set up was.

That sounds expensive to me. Not had mine done yet but I was speaking to Dom at TVR Power about it last week and he quoted me much less for Nitrons with full set up. Give him call I'm sure he'll help you out

If it's of any use, I had my car set up, full geo and laser alignment, and it transformed the car - no new suspension.

I was desperate for something different, but am happy again (for now)

Worth trying before splashing out perhaps?

I just had my annual service at TVR Power. They adjusted the camber on the rear and like you it's made a huge difference. Still a bit of a handful at high speed but a lot lot more stable

New shocks are on the list for the future

Be thankful, when I picked mine up they said there was negative camber one side, positive the other - probably left the factory that way!
