Diagnostic software

Hi

I have downloaded the software from mytuscan.co.uk and purchased the cable and USB adapter but cant get it to communicate. Does it work with Visa? Am I doing something wrong? keeps logging me off the laptop - very frustrating.....

Sorry dont want to push you off topic, but where did you get your cable?

Hold down CRTL & A keys when you exit prevents the logging off, as for the USB to serial converter this has to be set up as COMM 1.

got the cable from Clever Trevor.

It logs me off before I sign off, seemingly randomly..... When I set up the adapter it assigned comm port 4?

Heard of a few people trying to run it under VISTA and having trouble... it was written in the days of Windows 98/2000 and XP, and works OK on those platforms.

Yep set the port to comm 1 and make sure the baud rate is the same as well. Check this while in the software by pressing F10, and on the computer through control panel. Make sure you load the serial to USB adapter driver as well!
