Thinking of buying a tuscan to replace my chim and have looked at one this chap has for sale for 11,500 - was cat c damaged but he reakons no chassis damage. Has anyone bought from this guy or knows anything about his work. Would appreciate some advice.

A Cat C tuscan will be very very hard to sell on. Better to spend another 3 or 4K and get one that is not.

All subjective of course, you may find a cat C car, that had been rebuilt to better than factory standards and you might be planning to keep for a good few years.

Cheers, suspected as much. harrogate have a 2001 tuscan with 5000 miles on for about 17k so was thinking of having a look at that one.
