Misfire

My 2002 Tuscan S has just had a top and bottom end rebuild at Str8six, however last night it developed an intermittent misfire and is generaly less than happy.I'm hoping it's just an HT lead breaking down.

My local Dealer and independant are unable to look at it for about two weeks, anyone have any other recommendations in the Kent/sussex area?

Maybe water ingress in the sealed cover on the head...was on mine

What type of misfire is it? is it all the time? only over cetain revs? coil pack is a common fault and can often cause issues as said.

Started as an intermittent misfire, now pretty much constant. Only driven <10miles since it started. Spoke to STR8SIX who think it may be a plug cap incorrectly sealed. Will get it checked by a local garage on tuesday. I've also noticed a strong smell of fuel on start up.

Colin dont try driving it to far like that the raw fuel will bugger up the cats & will do a newly rebuilt engine little good either

sounds the same as when my coil pack failed, started with a slight misfire until it was almost undriveable, they are available from Clever Trevor and very easy to fit.

Back on the road after a replacement coil pack and wiring loom repair. Thanks to Paul at Walldonways, still want my reserved parking space out front though.
