Wot's the right way? - window channel.

The drivers side front window channel has a habit of dropping out.

The symptom is a clunk and then rattling glass.
The reason is that as the window goes down it binds so hard against the outer edge of the channel that it pushes the channel down a bit at a time until it drops out.

I am not sure if the cause is that:

1. It's not been lubricated in ages.
2. The window is missaligned becuase there seems to be ALOT of pressure on the outside edge of the glass against the chanel when it's in place?
3. The Channel is supposed to be adhered to the aluminium rail which holds it in?

Anyone know?

p.s. I lubricated it today and both windows move at the same speed now so that's a start..

Found the problem in case anyone else is suffers / will suffer.

The forward lower window guide lug, has been welded to the door frame at the wrong angle making the required adjustment impossible.

Will have to have the entire door off at some point. Strip it and re-weld it in the correct position.
For the moment I have left the bottom of the guide undone and it works a treat.
