speedo illumination / pod removal

The led illumination of my analogue speedo has stopped working and I'm hoping that it's a simple re-solder jobby. Has anyone else had this problem occur and if so, what was the cause/fix?

Also, does anyone have any step by step photos of their pod removal. There are some helpful instructions on these pages which set out the process but it's difficult to visualise (in order to judge its complexity/fiddlyness etc).

Can't help but I would liek this as well - need ot repalce LCD screen and I would liek to get teh trim and fit sorted on my pod.

Not sure if its possible/easy but it would also be good to make the indicators light a more obvious colour so I can stop driving for miles with them flashing coz I cannot see it on the screen.

Another kind member of PH has shared with me a step by step photo guide of how to remove the pod. I havent done it yet, but looks straight forward from the pictures.
