Anyone had the window encoder out, MK2 or MK3?

The window encoder and motor on my MK2 are firmly encased in a large amount of plastic and rubber sheathing. The MK1's are easy to get at. I guess TVR in an effort to protect the encoder took this step. Only now it makes it 10 times the job to get to.

If you've cleaned this type of encoder I'd like a few pointers - esp about how you drilled out all the pop rivets at that angle! ?
