Knackered Key Fob

One of my key fobs has stopped working, took it apart to find that some of the plastic prongs have broken off the inside, any idea where to get another one?

Get it done quick because while you still have 1 working key you can just join the new one to the old. If they both go you have to remove the alarm and get it reprogrammed to new keys.

Cheers RM75, will give them a ring tomorrow and maybe call in as I have the week off, be interested to see what else they can do. I know the radio signal on mine is cr*p.

Just like to say a big thank you to Carl with regards to this issue, I turned up at his place unannounced and he took the time to cancel what he was doing to sort my key fobs out. He replaced the old TVR ones with a newer model by Meta. Better solution all round.

Carl is a top guy! He sorted my immobiliser problem last week... Hope he wasnt working on my car when you "interupted" him!!! :-)

Not sure you can. My understanding was 'new' key fobs cannot be added to the system but existing keys and new ones can be re-programmed together. Karl can sort this easy but he needs the alarm ECU and all the keys unless you go down to see him.

Arapo, He did not have another car there when I called in. Taking the time to drive my car there with both keys certainly helped in getting the TVR ones replaced with better quality. The new ones have a much better range as well.

From a practical side, and taking into account the history of TVRs and their electrics in general, it's not a good thing that there are no locks on the cars.

Having said the above, I love the fact that nobody can find how to open the doors, both from the outside and the inside! :-)
