Having a strange problem with my water temps. Don't want to raise above about 35 degrees no matter how long you drive it.
Only been happening for the last fortnight or so and is happening with the gauge and the lcd display.
On start up the fuel gauge moves but the temp gauge sort of flicks but doesn't. Occasionally the temp comes back and is at the normal temp but most of the time it's 35.
Anyone had the same problem? I was reckoning the thermometer itself but somebody suggested either a fuse or dodgy connection.

As long as the fans kick-in the most important sensor (the one at the rear) of the engine is working.
The sensor at the front of the engine near the alternator simply runs the temp guage and LCD and is probably faulty. I had mine replaced as it failed completely. The sensor cost less than £25 and I got Sebring to do it at the service.
