Quick clutch Q please

To change clutch slave seals, does the bell housing need to be removed or can the slave just be pulled out after gearbox removal?

I've done this job a couple of month ago, and I removed the bellhouse.
I wished I didn't do it, because the slave cilinder got out very easy.
It must be possible with a bit of fiddling to pull it out of the bellhouse without removing the bellhouse.

Once the gearbox is out the bell housing is only about 10 bolts and the clutch pipe (I leave the bleed pipe connected and just undo from the starter mounting plate)

Once out the bell housing can be cleaned properly, made sure everything is in good order etc, also it's important to clean well around the cylinder before removing so as not to mark the bell housing with any grit/dirt as you take it out.

Apparently you have to remove the starter motor though which requires airbox removal?

Just makes the job that litle more complicated.

Air box takes about 2 mins to remove, if you are taking the gearbox out and going through all that then it's nothing really, better to do it properly.
