How long will my battery last if I dont drive?

Hi

I will be away for ~6 weeks soon, and wont drive the tuscan. My question: Do I have to unplug the battery, or should it be fine in 1.5month when I come back?
If I need to unplug the battery, is there an easier way than the "remove fron wheel" technique?

Battery won't last 6 weeks.
Behind the carpet in the passenger footwell theres a thick red wire that you can unbolt this will disconect the power to the battery.
Or you could buy the priorty start i have for sale in the ads

If you are lucky enough to have a garage or even somewhere really secure, just leave it unlocked. The passive immobiliser will still initiate, but won't drain the battery.

I tried to disconnect the battery behind the carpet which seems bl00dy stupid as now I have to glue the carpet back on. Or have I been dumb.

Drivingfroggy , you mean that if I dont lock the car, the immobiliser will still be on but the alarm off, and since it is the alarm that uses the battery the most, it should be fine for 6 weeks?

It means You Have Mail!

AFAIK (As Far As I Know) If the weather is cold and the car is let for long periods it'll kill the battery regardless of whether it's disconnected or not. I could be wrong but this is what I'm led to believe.

Accumate trickle charger is your friend!

I leave mine unlocked for weeks at a time when I'm offshore and the battery is always fine when I get back and she starts first turn of the key. No one can drive it away because the immobiliser kills the ignition system. I've bought a battery brain as well, but haven't fitted it, because this method works really well for me.
