Yes it's fibreglass. Managed to get a new one for £65 plus vat which seems the cheapest fix. Should be good as new in a few days. biggrin

fibreglass can always be fixed, depends how good the repairer is thats all.

Often a safer bet to replace.

You'll need the mounting brackets if like me you have a Mk1. TVR Power have had some made, I've just ripped the same chunk out of mine, I think everybody goes through at least one before you learn the lesson. They make a world of difference to the front-end handling though.

As well as the cross member and threaded rod that goes through the front of the splitter. Without that, your splitter will be flapping about and not doing much downforce wise!

I crunched mine - much worse than that. I had it repaired and toughened with fiberglass and then had the front 6 inches wrapped in carbon fibre by Phil at Carbon Delight. Looks brill, didnt cost the earth and it a bit stronger than it used to be. Having said that, I am more carefull parking these days!

Good local guy, excellent work and cant recommend enough.

Try him.

Hi Nick,

That looks great, can you tell me what he charged to repair and wrap in carbon? PM me if you prefer. Thanks, Mike

Gents,

I would also be interested in skinning my splitter and also by grille in CF. Reckon it would look great!

S6, where did you get your T440 grille from and how much was it? I've got one too but would like a "spare" skinned in CF.

PM me if you prefer. smile
