Bit of a problem on my Tuscan 01, the pin that holds the roof in place on the drivers side wont either retract or engage fully, ive tried gentle persuasion and the pin will go back, but then tries to extend back out again, without me using the pulley handle in the boot. Any help, tips or info would be greatly appreciated, im thinkin maybe that that the rod could be bent. If this is the case anybody know how i could fix or access this.

A similar thing happened to mine but unfortunately the cable had stretched thus meaning the pin would not retract properly making it difficult to remove the roof and put back on.
I tried to adjust the cable myself but it was a right pain in the arse so took it down my TVR garage for them to do. They replaced the cable informing me it had stretched and no amount of adjusting would have helped.
Best £80 or whatever it was I ever spent ! roof works fine now.
Other remedies could be to check the bracket in the boot hasnt bent and check the cable hasnt come loose where the adjuster is on the boot bracket but my experience has shown the cable tends to stretch.
