Does anyone here know the height from the road to the bottom lip of a Porche Cayenne Exhaust?

Im Trying to prove a point to my insurance company here, that when a PCay reverses onto the front of a tusc in a carpark, and planes off all the paint/basecoat(back to the grp) to the top of the headlights, and given the weight of the Pcay there is not just impact damage but crush damage to consider eg tusc 1100 kgs ish Pcay 4500 kgs ish and the majority all on the drivers side as demonstrated by the damage.

The case is going to the Insurance Ombusman now,I have engineers reports showing that crush damage is evident, but the insurance co wont accept it, I also have support from a well known TVR Specialist re the paint finish which is another issue.

Im looking to strengthen my case

Thanks

I suppose you could go into a Porsche dealership and measure one up? I can imagine the questions you will be asked from the Salesmen smile

You also have to consider that a Cayenne has user selectable ride heights.....

I dont understand what they are trying to get out of, she admitted it was her fault and the repair is not right?

Best bet is to go to a dealers, or some local WAG hangout, find one nose into a space, then drive the tusc up close behind it (not into it!) and take a pic. Pics speak a 1k words after all.

hey asrovak
i really hope you can pull this off and get a good deal
years ago i have owned a strosek 928 gt.
some idiot in a beamer backed-up and smashed my front side
beiing a strosek (set is about €20.000) we got in a discussion i lost
they payed for the reconstruction and respray but resin that has been cracked has to be replaced.
i had a paper stating that if stress would cause damage again they would look after it but they didn't.
sold the car to an ignorent (not proud of that)
so good luck
and
every dealer can give you the ride hight

Ground clearance is 241mm. This can be raised if fitted with air suspension to 271mm.

Go to the Porsche website and follow the links to technical specification.

Hope this helps.

Thanks steve, but ground clearance doesnt help. I need the hight from road to Exhaust, then i can use trig to show how far up the bonnet she drove, then i need the quater weights to prove crush damage, anyone know the quarterweights of a Pcay?....

Hi Rens, not trying to get something for nothing. I have spent near £1100 repairing my tusc after the insurance guys.
I Just want that money back. is all. Their accessors call it an Impact..it is but they dont take into consideration the crush of the Pcay.
In my way of thinking its like me getting a crane, hooking it upto 1000kg concrete, and dropping it on your drivers wing, and only sorting the paint. If your suspension/steering gets fu*ked tuff.

Hi

I've got my Cayenne with me in work - PM me if you need the dimensions and I'll go and measure for you.

Mine has the adjustable ride height so 3 options available..

Also if I reversed (or more likely the mrs did) into my Tuscan they'd both be a write off (her and the Tuscan)!!!!
