Heated windscreen – does one not exist?
Discussion
Big scary rock hit my windscreen the other day and caused a crack that will not get through MOT.
Was thinking with my Elise there is a no cost option to have a heated windscreen put in should you need to change your windscreen.
Is there no such thing for the Tuscan?
I do not have a/c and had a frustrating drive this morning waiting for my screen to clear.
It’s the only time I have missed a/c since I had the Tuscan!
Is the windscreen unique to the TVR?

i believe a new windscreen is hard to get
you want a heated one ?
isn't there something like a electrical blanket (like in your bed) you can put over the windscreen running on your cigaret lighter
i always use a de-icer spray on my other cars (with heated windows).
works very quick
and
never use the trevor when icy.
to fond of my lims and money

Hmmm....seems like this idea is a no go.
I will get Racing Green to do the windscreen - I know they can get hold of them.
Are they unique to Tuscans?
Heated one would definately be good - esp in this weather!
As an aside I have recently bought an elise and am doing it up - much, much easier to source parts (and cheaper) - brings into perspective that sorting TVR 'niggles' is a painful/expensive process!

"Your right we have never made these so getting one is going to be impossible . We would consider making them but would need an order for at least 15 units . The cost I would estimate at around £150.00 +vat each with a tooling cost of around £300.00 "
The Racing Green ones are £366 - so this is a realistic option if there is interest and probably on insurance (as they are cheaper)
I have already writted to Racing Green to see if they will stock them.
If you are interested can you let RG know!
Anyone recommend anyone else that I can see if they will get these produced?

How does teh elise compare?
Prefer? Not prefer? Be quite interesting...
I used to have an Elise, most people called me quite freaky about getting other people to own one too, because I was really "in" to it.Prefer? Not prefer? Be quite interesting...
Then I sold it and bought the Tuscan. Even with all the problems I had with the TVR, I didn't miss the Elise once.
