Just swapped out the front tyres and not a minute too soon. I bought the car with a set of WANLI tyres on the front and Toyo Proxes on the back. Got a flat in one of the fronts the other day, took it to k-Fit to have the new Toyo's fitted and the inside of the Wanli was totally shredded. This could have blown at any time. If anyone (and I doubt there's many) have Wanli tyres I heartily recomend getting rid of them.
Instead of blaiming the tyres (not that im defending Wanlis) maybe you should take 2 minutes to check the condition of your tyres more often? oh and have the geo checked before your new ones go the same way, be a shame to scrub the inside off your new ones too.

Never heard of them ? but thanks for the warning.
When you say "inside" do you mean the the internal face of the tyre or the inner wall ?
It was the actual internal surface area of the tyre. So it can't be checked without taking the tyre off the rim.

I read it that it was the inside of the tyre rather than the inside edge??Edited by BGB autosport on Thursday 3rd December 14:28
