Strange goings on with the brake pedal and lights.

Can anyone throw any light on this ( pardon the pun)
For some strange reason whenever I press the brake pedal my side lights
go on and the led lights around the electric mirror switch light up.
Anyone have any ideas what might be triping this or how these can have become crossed.

Rens is right check the earth points for the brake lights

I had something similar to this the other week in that my brake pedal was causing the radio surround light to light up.

This was due to a faulty brake light bulb having shorted out in the boot - Doh.
