Help - very odd problem

I'm only familiar with the MK1 Tuscan.
With the little information in your post it's hard to tell exactly what's going on.
Here are my suggestions for the first things I would do:
- Are you sure the battery is charged (did you check it after refit tyre?) Check out it is. With a multimeter you can first try the anderson leads. If there's power at the leads the battery should be OK, if there is no power at the leads remove the to screws form the battery cover. Check the battery itself. If your battery lost power check were you jacked your car. Did you damage something? May you caused a shortcut. Not likely because you should have recognised by the smell of burning plastic...
Check the anderson-leads are OK. The housing can break or crack when they are getting older.
- Check the cable connections at your battery (behind battery cover, can be done without removing the wheel, remove the to screws from batt.cover and open it by bending the cover a bit)
- Check the earth cable which is behind the battery (near the outside of footwell). You can see this by jacking up your car (secure then with bricks) and look from the underside between rearside of battery and outside of passenger footwell. The black earth cable should be connected there at the chassis. Check for rust etc.

Tested the battery through the anderson leads - read 11v, so tried trickle charging it - which it didnt like, so have disconnected the battery and charged it for about an hour, connected back in and we have power! - all be it only 8v according to the POD display. Enough though to prove its battery related, so will leave on charge over night and see what happens. Must just be coincidence that it went flat along with changing a wheel.
