Heater not working

Had the clutch fixed, but now the heater fan has decided not to work.
Nothing happens when the control is turned...ideas please...it's bloody cold!

It'll be the ECU in the passenger footwell. Mine needs a jiggle every now and then, to sort the dodgy pin connection.

It could well be the stepper motor, mine went not long ago, part about 50 quid, fitting 150

It's more than likely the ECU, the Capacitors have a tendancey to blow. If you reach up above the passenger footwell and disconnect the ECU you may find one of two things:

a, one of the pins and indeed the plastic plug may have burned out;
b, take the casing apart and the two black capacitors may have blown, it'll look like the tops have expanded

I have a number for one of the guys, (ex TVR factory) who refurbs them, parts are literally pennies but its about an hours job I think, I've had mine redone...good as new. You'll not find a repolacement on the market they are like hens teeth.

Think I read on here that there's a company in Luton who repairs the heater ecu's but would be useful to have the number of the ex-works guy as my heater doesn't work either.

1 of my pins looks melted so sounds like its the ecu??

heater relay with pin burnt (middle left). problem I had was the cover of the unit did not allow the plug to fit securely,

undo 4 screws take top off, file back where it catches, bit fine emery to clean connection, job done

+1..... A bit of 'pin' wiggling and you'll be toasty in no time....
