2weeks into ownership,a few eletrical niggles!
Discussion
I've got a couple of problems with my mk1 Tuscan, forgivable but a bit irritating, firstly the speedo has stopped working, every now and then it does twitch a bit like the signal is trying to get through then nothing,I can live with this as I put a sat nav in the car and use that for the speed readout,I will get this sorted when I get it servicedin jan unless it's easy DIY.
The second and far more annoying problem is it seems to tell me the door is open and put the window half way down every time I go over a bump in the road,if I then push on the outside of the door for a second it then allows me to wind the window back up and the warning on the pod goes until about 20 seconds later!,any ideas?.

Just a couple of thoughts :
The speedo problem , try cleaning your speed sensor
The door/window problem , check the microswitch under the chrome closing panel that covers the door latch of the effected door .
Details on both these fixes can be found at http://www.mytuscan.co.uk/howdo.php .
Hope these help

Speedo problem is due to the weather.. the speedo sensor is located on the diff, and isn't very waterproof... yes realy! They sometimes come back once it's dried out, but once they start to fail, they will need replacing. About £80 from a TVR dealer (well mine was about 12 months ago) and quite an easy, but fiddly DIY fix. Make sure you put the car on stands and don't try it off a jack! Get it sorted reasonably quickly or you'll loose track of when the next service is due.
Your problem with the door sounds like it just needs adjusting, first thing to check is that the projecting bar / pin which sticks out of the door to engage in the lock hasn't worked loose....
Enjoy and please take care if your driving the car in these slippery conditions.

Do you have the digital readout working? If so, can anyone one advise whather it uses the same sensor? if it does, could be the pod. I have this problem...going to try cleaning the sensor, but as i have the digital readout (and its correct) i reckon the problem may be in the pod.
Not sure on the door - think the advice above may help?
The speedo problem is almost certainly the speed sensor on the diff. Either need tightened slightly to make sure it's catching again or replaced.
The door again is either the sensor arm needing adjusting or the actual locking mechanism has come loose. Either tighten up the screws or bend the arm and problems solved.
