front shocks

Anyone got an idea of the best shocks for 2000 Tuscan?

Gaz golds ive fitted on my tuscan 2003. .£500.00. They are made in Basildon essex.If you need someone to fit them i can put my mechanic foward to you.

What's on the rear at the moment? Would you really replace just the front shocks with a different make/model to the rear?

I popped a couple of fronts about three years ago and put stock originals back on. The car did feel noticeably better for just having new shocks, but nothing like the complete change in handling brought about by a complete change over to Nitrons early last year. Complete set of Nitrons comes to about £1200 fitted IIRC.

Then you can fiddle 'til your heart's content with the settings

i have fitted protech dampers
they are less expensive than nitron's but are up up to the yob
if you like them really firm (fast road,track) have them fitted like that
i believe a full set is 450 ex vat

I have Racing Reds (made by Nitron) which made a great difference over the Std shocks.
Mine were supplied & fitted by Str8 Six for about £650.

The best shocks are propabaly a 3 way Nitron or Ohlins, but I don't think that's what you really mean by the best.

I would go with Billstein non adjustables and fit as a set of 4 to get the best from them.

Since the handling of the MK I is a bit nervous, I'd go for the Nitrons or Ohlins.

TVR Power supply and fit gaz golds £690.00.There very good ive had loads of parts from them for my tuscan, ap racing clutch ,slave,break master,clutch master,new ap discs pads,engine mounts,got gaz golds from basildon essex.Tvr power have just got them in.Very helpful and next day delivery.
