S spec, bilsteins, bigger disks,4.0s engine, xenon lights with lens covers
body similar to Mk2 S but restyled interior ,instruments same as 350, steering column wheel stalks dash board, switches smaller boot spoiler than Mk2 different air box. alloy fuel cap
The rarest of the Tuscans with only 26 made apparently from 2006 i believe
Russian rocket where the unreliable electrical bis were swapped for the more reliable ones (although i like the style of the Mk1)practicality over style
and they were made safer as they steer/handle loads better
body/lights cleaned up
more aerodynamic
steering and suspension geometry was changed in the Mk 2 and again in the Mk3 so they don't bump steer allover the road, headlights, include sidelights, indicators in the also changed front grill,
tail lights all in a row and increased behind tinted perspex
front splitters and boot spoiler to give better road holding
rear badge no longer sunk in the body
all indicator, reverse, tail light units changed from the earlier military style units.
18" spiders with 225 and 255 tyres
and i think bigger bore exhaust pipes and different cats

Interesting I had a MKII Tuscan and was under the impression that apart from changing the dash to match the rest of the T range when the convertible was introduced that the rest remained basically unchanged. My 2005 one had the body work and light changes/ bilstein suspension which incidentally failed after less than 8000 miles and the S had the bigger brakes/ exhaust/zenons etc as standard but you live and learn.
ETA They are all great irrespective of being MK1/II or 3

Its an old photo but yes covers and front splitters were removed for a very good reason , to make moulds from, which is why there are many splitters on others that pre date them.
The "S" also had Air Con
(the Mk3 was also available in the lesser non "s" although i don't know the volume of each)
Oh and the bonnets are both different to Mk1 Tuscan.
front wings are more bulbous than the early model.
and a couple of front reg plate bracket changes through the 3 models.
on the Mk3 fuses and relays in different positions due to different harness.

Thanks for the offer - he is heading back to his parents in Newcastle at the weekend and hoping to look at twizellb 's 2002. I think looking at your mk III would put him on the wrong foot - haha
He should go and talk to Tony Abams at Hexham Horseless Carriges (Well respected TVR Specialists). Not many people know as much about TVR's and I was in chatting between Christmas and New Year and he has some lovely Tuscan's in, within different price ranges too. Worth considering buying from a specialist and getting a warrantee and Hexham isn't that far from town.Paul
