Hope I don't regret this....

....but I've sold my Chimaera and bought a Tuscan. I love the V8 burble and I've spend a small fortune on the Chim, but wanted the Tuscan curves before they all get crashed and written off - the problem being the risk the speed 6 brings with it
I've read all of the back threads and came to the conclusion that the engine is mostly pot luck - some go and some don't, it's mostly about how the engine is treated which you can't control unless you got it new. Even rebuilds are risky unless done by a few indies in the last 2 to three years, I could have started another " what shall I do thread..." but it seems the information is all there and so spared you all
I will, of course, be asking lost of newbie questions though.
In the end I just had to have one for the style and useability and so I go in with eyes wide open, cash left in the bank just in case (and brown trousers and bicycle clips in place in this weather).
Had a look at 5 or 6 similar cars, but the grey/mixed interiors all looked worn (especially driver seat bolsters) and even "perfect" cars had chipped paint around the roof, windscreen side trim panels coming off, radio consoles loose, pods with missing lines etc.
So am I getting? Black Mk1 (with full hide black interior) with 15,000 miles, one previous owner and a stack of history. A few stone chips but otherwise mint. All I'll need are a black jumper and trousers and I'll be kitted out for delivering milk tray.

I am sure you will be happy.

I'm changing my shocks and springs at the moment then I want them carbon seat backs then...............

bought my black tuscan s in september, owned a couple of sportscars before one of them a Lotus Exige, have to admit the Tuscan is the mightiest of them all
driving the car you keep on smiling and get thumbs up on every streetcorner

Not the best day to have to get used to a new car, it'll feel weird for a while as the Chim is such a relaxed cruiser. Took me a few month to fall in love and 'get' the T350, now I wouldn't change it unless my budget was at least triple the value....You'll miss the low down torque but revving right through to almost 8000 is fantastic and the noise is far more supercar than the Chims RV8 could ever be.
