solar powered trickle charger?

I asked a similar question over on the Griffith forum a few weeks ago. A number of people posted some helpfull replies:

I never bothered with a solar panel in the end and bought an Accumate charger with the ciggerete light adapter. Every two weeks if the car hasn't been driven I pull the car around to the front of my house and run an extension lead to the car to charge it.
