Bl**dy Fuel Filter The most frustrating day ever!

Three jobs i had to do, three.
1) Fuel Filter
2) Fuel Hose from tank upgrade to marine hose
3) Rear upper wishbone bushes...(ok so i was massively optimistic)
Well, i have had petrol in my eye, mouth, hair, pretty much everywhere. Stabbed my finger, broke off the two bolts holding on the fuel pump and scrubbed my knucles trying to get the fuel filter off. Split the cheap sh!t plastic fuel line
between the pump and filter and need to replace that too.
1 job has created several others....
1) Drill out and retap holes for fuel filter bolts
2) replace split plastic fuel hose with some decent stuff and proper fuel clips
3) Get the fuel filter out!
4) Strip and paint the corroded filter and pump brackets
5) replace the broken filter mount bolts with stainless
6) Get the bloody fitting back on the bottom of the fuel tank (spent nearly an hour trying to get that bugger back on) after replacing the hose...
Figured the fuel filter is going to be much ewasier when i take the rear upper wishbone out - a lot easier access -its still bloody fiddly though - can understand why people dont bother. Mine doesnt look like its been changed in a good while!!
All this has to get put back together before i put my nice shiny new throttle bodies on!!!
I also half considered dropping the diff as the case is rusting.....but thats a job for another time....i have to stop at some point!!

it didnt feel marvelous as i was washing out my eye for the third time!!! I can see exactly why people leave that fuel filter its a git 
. And those piddly little bolts on the fuel pump had rusted solid, no amount of penetrant spray was going to get the lock nuts off, they were more of a unified lump...
Rens - yeah i know, they arent the hardest to work on...but still a pain in the @ss at times!!!
