Bent wheel

Been thinking about this for a few days, and whichever way I say it to myself it comes out has being a stupid thing to ask.
Had the Tuscan since September last year after four happy years in the Chimaera.
Not done much mileage yet due mainly to the weather.
Recently picked up a small metal object in the near side rear tyre causing a slow puncture.Took it in to tyre company who said the tyres are fairly new ,and in this instance it would take a repair.
When the tyre fitter handed me back the keys witha large smile he casually mentioned ' by the way sir the wheel is bent'.For some reason I cannot now fathom I didn't pick him up on this at the time.
The car drives perfectly well with no vibration from the rear.
Here comes the stupid question, what is the definition of a bent wheel?

I was told that my rear alloy is buckled but I do get a vibration at abound 90MPH, I think they can be repaired.

Does it look like this? If it does then it's a bent wheel! Sorry!

This is what happened to mine recently. It's not affected the drive, no vibration etc but I'm concerned it might go pop at high speed, Apparently it can be repaired but I've bought a new one to be on the safe side. Might make this into a coffeee table, I'm sure the wife would love it!

No visible signs of damage to the rim or anywhere else for that matter.
Wonder if it is warped rather than bent, due maybe to a manufacturing defect.
Wheels are OE.
I can't believe there is a danger of the tyre coming off the rim or else the tyre company would have brought this up when they did the repair on the tyre, or am I being naive?
Suppose I should get a second opinion.

Is this the result of the pot-holed FED-up roads we are expected to drive on at the mo' or have you had an altication with a curb at speed?
Two of mine were said to be very slightly out of true (you wouldn't have known) but I decided to replace them anyway.

Saw a similar problem to the one pictured on TVR for sale in a garage today. Apparently they can be repaired: paint is removed (acid bath), dent bashed out and the the wheel is refinished. Garage didn't mention the cost, sorry. Said they send them off and get them done on a week's turn around.

I'd never noticed before quite how shiny the bodywork is in that picture.

Yes get the same on mine. Str8six can get them fixed and refurbed for £100 each. Spiders look good but seem to be made out of balser wood. IMO with a dent like Badgers' I would bin it and buy another, you don't know if its cracked. For about £50 more than a repair you can get new ones if you know where to go. Or get some SP12's or them Jade R's.... wonder if they would look OK on the Tam?

90-95 % of all Spiders are out of roundness, but you only can see it if
you mount new tires, because the bending is too small to see it on car.
When wheel is on balancing machine you will easily note how
bad is your wheel.

Spiders are crap, too weak at all.
