This is probably a daft question, but has anyone come up with a way of opening the boot lid an inch or so when the badge is pushed? Reason I ask is that I have to push the badge and get my (fat) fingers into the (narrow) gap between body and boot lid to lift it. Is this normal?

Mines the same. Ta

Only things I can suggest is either to lay off the pies

or maybe fit a gas strut on the other side.

Try feeding some stiff neoprene hollow tubing inside the boot seals, may give it a bit more "ping".
Out of interest where do you get this sort of thing from? I need to do a similar thing to my door seals in order to have them pop open rather than stay within the catch.Zippee said:

Mine has a small spring loaded piston to help raise the boot an inch when the boot latch is released (very simple). I will now try to work out how to upload pictures!! Please wait patiently.
That is the kind of thing I was thinking of, but it doesn't seem to be standard- wonder where it comes from?Konrod said:
