Disconecting Battery - Alarm

Hi, Does anyone know if there's a procedure for disabling the alarm is there a sequence to go through, prior to disconnecting the battery, if the earth is disconnected will the alarm sound?

I don't know but will find out either this weekend or next, when I disconnect mine.

I'm assuming that as long as the car is unlocked then it won't go off when the battery is disconnected.

You can unplug the alarm when the car is unlocked without it going off so I guess it'll be the same with the battery?

I just changed my battery and the only thing to bear in mind is that the car will lock itself when the battery is reconnected, so keep your keys in your pocket. Other than that I don't think there's an issue.

Most category one alarms sound when the earth to the battery is disconnected, so I’ll try deactivating the alarm on the fob and hope I have enough time to undo the earth connection.
