mending seat sides

I cannot remember their proper name... Just tried the search function and could not find the answer, does anyone know of a link to a thread on how to repair them? Mine has snapped as they probably all do.

I am aware that Jason at Str8Six has repaired some seats before. I also need my drivers seat repaired at some stage. Might be too far away for you though.

Mine has gone on the side, I think best described as bolster. If anybody gets any indication of prices/advice for a fix, I would be grateful.

Speak to D&C Trim, they may well be able to help you...If you are going to Chatsworth you could speak to them there on Sunday.

I've fixed mine last week, I took a inch square of metal, drilled a hole in the middle then welded it to the bolster, It's not a very hard job but you have to be careful not to set fire to the foam, I covered the seat with a wet towel to make sure nothing could get marked, I'm also going to fit a plate across the lumber support so it doesn't blow the back off the seat like it did last time.

I suppose it is the weld option that is difficult when you have not got one. Will look into getting access to one and mend the bits of metal that are there.
