Beautiful colour, are you spraying it yourself or having it done for you,
either way, would love to know approx cost, as looking to have mine done soon.

Thanks

Udo

Hi Andy,

what colour did your Tuscan have before. Has it been "Desert Moondust"? Thats the colour of my Tuscan too. I heard, TVR did only 4 Tuscans in it. Than now there are only 3:-)

Whats the reason for repainting it? Problems with the coating, stonechips or only wanting something new? (I think, the coating of my Tuscan is very sensitive in camparison with the yellow of my wedge).

By the way, the new colour looks very nice.

Best wishes

Udo

thanks for the comments. i purchased my tuscan 10 months ago knowing it had a bump on the off side front wing which had be repaired but was visable under the paint. this didnt bother me as i negociated the price down and i fully intended to be a 12 month project. The car came with a wad of bills and service history as well as a tvr power rebuild. I ran the car for 9 months daily, during which time it never let me down. My neighbour kindley reversed her car in to back of it was whilst parked, only causing minor stress cracks and paying a bundle of cash to avoid her insurance jumping, this promted me to repair the car properly. I did all the fibreglass repairs myself as i use it in my job and have rebuilt a tvr S2 and a write ofF V8s. the decision to change the colour whilst i was taken. the original is halycon atlantis blue, my friend owns a body shop and wanted to try a new paint manufaturer out so we chose this flip paint. which i love. its nearly finished with the wheels beingrefurbished next as well as the engine bay and new carpets

Fantastic colour - the best ! cool

But then I'm biased 'cause its the same colour as mine laugh

Can I ask how much the paint cost ?

I've been quoted between £800 - £1000 / LTR from the independent TVR dealer network. I managed to find it for £400 / LTR from a local paint shop under the "outrageous colours" banner

I've also changed my wheels to anthracite as I think its a much better combination with the copper cascade colour.

Nice Job by the way

Udo

Hello Phil, hello Andy,

are your both colours called "Desert Moondust". Pictures cannot show it exactly.

It is very interesting for me because I thought (and a professional painter told me) that it would be impossible to reconstruct this complex colour.

After I tried to get an orange Tuscan but without success I now love my cars fancy colour "Desert Moondust".

I think the Problem will be that, if you repaint only parts, you will see the difference.

Thanks a lot and have an nice weekend

Udo

Hi UDO lovely colour on your car, my colour is not a tvr "factory" color. called "atlantis" and i got it from Shaun @ Staffordshire car colours in Stoke on Trent, i can supply you his number if you want. The colour is more purple and green than yours. Its being flatted and machine polished this weekend. i am having the wheels refinished by px wheels in black sparkle next week to finish the car off.
