Mk 2 - Only hot air, no cold
Discussion
Could be as simple as changing the flap zero position in setup, or maybe the flap is closing properly....Has your car got Aircon....Does that work ???
Checked on mine..can't hear flap motor running when you change temp, and the motor moves the flap (I think I have heard of the flap becoming disconnected before).... But if you go into SERVICE panel and last page the flap setting will alter as you move the temp control....The ZERO postion (i.e Closed position) is set in FACTORY screens...Mines set at 16....The Zero setting means closed so NO hot from the engine.

Sorry to change topic but glow worm I have had my Tuscan 2 S for a week now and I know it sounds pathetic but I can't unscrew the water or oil caps as they seem to be on very tight. It was serviced last week.
Get an "Aligator" from B&Q (or similiar)...a rubber strap and handle..a bit like an oil filter remover... they do small and larger size ones, the small one is better on the Tuscan since not much space around the caps...even less room with Leven caps, but the oil & water tanks can be spun a bit to make sure the caps are central.WazzaL said:
Yes it does have a/c, and yes that does work.
I'd be pretty certain its the flap control mechanism, not sure if there are any air hoses/vents that could have become disconnected. I just get "them that know" to sort my problems out for me...

Ok, just had a play and the Zero setting was set to '0'. So that means I should not have been having any hot air coming into the cabin. So the fact that I only have hot air and no cold would suggest that the flap is stuck open or disconnected??Checked on mine..can't hear flap motor running when you change temp, and the motor moves the flap (I think I have heard of the flap becoming disconnected before).... Additionally, in the Service section the flap does change from between 0 and 3008 and temperature does change between 0% and 100%
If it's been set to "0"..I suspect someone has been playing before you...Get it to a good TVR service centre...pity you don't live in up 'Norf.
Just try setting at between 20 and 24 and see if it makes a difference.
But IIRC the lower the tighter the flap is shut...the reason why it shouldn't be "0" is that it puts extra strain on the motor and cause an earlier failure.
