Clutch master cylinder
Discussion
Hi,
Yesterday when out enjoying the sun, the clutch pedal dropped to it's half travel point and will not return any higher. It means I can only get about half of the proper clutch travel so it will not release enough to select gears etc.
I've taken the pedal linkage apart and it looks as though the master cylinder plunger is sticking at that point. It will push to the end of it's travel but will not return beyond this point. It had a new clutch and slave fitted a few months back.
I'm assuming the master should be spring loaded and doesn't just rely on the clutch assembly to push it back? Does this sound like just the master that's failed?
